FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for diagnosing streptococcal abdominal surgical infection. That is ensured by analyzing biological fluids in surgical patients with peritonitis simultaneously in blood serum and peritoneal fluid to determine concentration of degradation products of fibrinogen, lactoferrin and total protein, and calculating the diagnostic coefficient of DC by the developed formula. If the DC coefficient is equal to or greater than 3.8, the presence of streptococcal abdominal infection is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at the more effective diagnosis of streptococcal abdominal surgical infection for the purpose of the timely initiation of etiotropic antibacterial therapy.
