SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for diagnosing staphylococcal abdominal surgical infection. Biological liquids are analyzed. Concentration of immunoglobulin G and fibrinogen degradation products is determined in surgical patients with postoperative peritonitis in blood serum and peritoneal fluid simultaneously. A DC diagnostic coefficient is calculated by formula: DC=(IGG_BS/IGG_PF)x(FDP_PF/FDP_BS), where: DC – diagnostic coefficient of presence of staphylococcal abdominal surgical infection; IGG_BS is concentration of blood serum immunoglobulin G (g/l); IGG_PF is concentration of immunoglobulin G in peritoneal fluid (g/l); FDP_PF – concentration of fibrinogen degradation products in peritoneal fluid (mg/l); FDP_BS is concentration of fibrinogen degradation products in blood serum (mg/l). If the DC coefficient is equal to or greater than 2.4, the presence of staphylococcal abdominal infection is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides more effective diagnosis of staphylococcal abdominal surgical infection ensured by simultaneous quantitative determination of blood serum and peritoneal fluid of two proteins – immunoglobulin G and fibrinogen degradation products.
