FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of working tool for excavation. In particular, disclosed is a method of controlling movement of a component of an industrial plant, comprising steps of: receiving from a user input device a first signal corresponding to a first required component movement; determining, using the controller, a first target vector based on the first signal; determining, by a controller, a first set of control signals based on a first target vector relating to the first desired component movement; providing a first set of control signals to one or more actuators for controlling an industrial setting component based on a first target vector; receiving from user input device a second signal corresponding to second required component movement; determining, using the controller, a second target vector based on the second signal; determining, using the controller, a second set of control signals based on the first target vector and the second target vector relating to the second component motion required, wherein the first target vector is updated, using the second target vector, and the updated first target vector is used to determine the second set of control signals; and providing a second set of control signals to one or more actuators for controlling an industrial setting component based on a second target vector.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of movement of a working member of an excavating machine along a given trajectory.
