SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Method comprises steps of: accessing automation system functions through a web application of at least one control unit; functions are provided by a standardized web application data model; access to the standardized data model is carried out through the generic web application data interface, wherein from the web client through the data interface access to the structure of the data model is performed to select from the data model a subset of the superset of all functions of several different control units.
EFFECT: reliable monitoring, control and regulation of technical processes.
