WASTE SORTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B07C5/34

Abstract RU 2705477 C2

FIELD: separation or sorting of solid materials.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of sorting wastes, comprising steps of irradiating wastes by means of a radiation source, obtaining an image of wastes when irradiated with a radiation source, wherein object in wastes is equipped with pattern, wherein said pattern is provided in or on object surface, wherein said pattern forms repetition of points, wherein in the sequence of adjacent points the given code is stored, the image is processed to detect the pattern, the code is extracted from the sequence of adjacent points of the pattern, the item containing the said pattern is separated from the wastes in accordance with the code. Pattern can represent a relief pattern. Embossed pattern may include pattern made from bulges and recesses. Pattern, for example, in the form of a relief, can also be used to identify an object. Object may be a manufactured item, such as a package, for example a bottle, a tray or a foil, or any other object. Radiation source provides emitting with pouring light along at least part of the object surface. Each point forms a convexity or a recess in the surface of the object, wherein emission by the pouring light along at least part of the surface of the object creates by means of points an image of bright and shaded areas on the surface of the object.

EFFECT: obtaining an image of wastes when irradiated with a radiation source involves obtaining an image of bright and shaded areas, wherein said code is extracted from the obtained image of bright and shaded areas.
