SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. When processing a call transfer from a circuit-switched access network to a packet switched access network, it is determined whether the terminal is registered in the IMS network at the current moment and/or whether the MSC server is registered so that it can perform handover from the circuit switched access network to the network packet switched access. If the result is negative, the terminal receives a message from the MSC server, which includes one of: notification that the handover failed, or notification that the terminal is not registered in the network.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling the MSC server to perform the corresponding error processing.
