The method includes: receiving, by a base station, a circuit switched fallback (CSFB) indication; instructing a mobility management entity (MME) to initiate a packet switched (PS) to circuit switched (CS) handover; transmitting a handover request to the MME; sending to an MSC a PS to CS handover message; receiving, by the base station, the handover message from the MME and transmitting, by the base station, the handover message to user equipment (UE).
EFFECT: reducing connection delay during voice call fallback to circuit switched domain.
