FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition, a method of producing an article therefrom and an article to be used in automotive industry or for general use. Composition contains at least one homopolymer and/or random copolymer of polypropylene, at least one polyethylene in amount of 0.1 to 15 wt. %, optionally at least one elastomer in amount of 8 to 40 wt. % and optionally fillers and/or additives in amount of not more than 45 wt. % of total weight of final polymer composition. At least one polyethylene has density higher than 940 kg/m3, content of the fraction extracted in hot hexane is less than 0.80 wt. % and ratio of copolymer/homopolymer (SONO), measured using high-temperature fractional elution (TREF), up to 6 %.

EFFECT: polymer composition according to the invention meets both the requirements of good mechanical properties, and the requirement of high resistance to scratching, and also demonstrates low emission of FOG and odors (EFO).
