SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to syringes. Syringe comprises a cylinder having a proximal end, a distal end and a side wall extending between the proximal end and the distal end along the longitudinal axis. At least one syringe retention element protrudes radially outward relative to the outer surface of the sidewall. At least one syringe fixation element narrows axially from the distal end to the proximal end. Said at least one syringe fixation element is configured to selectively engage with the fluid injector locking mechanism for releasable syringe closure in the fluid injector.

EFFECT: narrowing of at least one syringe fixation element is configured to rotate the syringe for alignment with the locking mechanism.
