FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of flow in valves with thermal correction. Disclosed is measurement of consumption of predefined fluid through valve (12). Local fluid velocity is measured in valve (12) by means of first sensor (18). At the next step, either the temperature of the predetermined fluid in valve (12) is measured, or the fluid temperature in valve (12) is measured together with the position of valve (12). Determination of flow rate through valve (12) uses measured local fluid velocity, as well as measured parameters. Present invention also provides valve device (10) which comprises first sensor (18) and second sensor (20) for determining flow rate. Compact valve device (10) which is capable of more accurate determination of flow rate can be provided.
EFFECT: possibility of efficient and accurate measurement of flow rate of fluid flow through valve.
