SUBSTANCE: proposed hull has forepeak closed by deck to give access to luggage or to cargo stowed in forepeak; forepeak has opening upper deck; in lowered position this deck closes entire free surface of forepeak, thus performing function of deck and cover simultaneously.
EFFECT: ease in getting into forepeak; possibility of converting hull of smaller ships.
