FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna measurements and can be used for experimental evaluation of efficiency of antenna arrays (AA) focused in near electromagnetic field (EMF). Method includes a signal generator which, through a calibrated attenuator and a standing wave meter, is connected to the AA, in the mode of transmitting the energy level Es acting on the meter EMF generated by the AR at the focusing point M, including calculation and experimental realization of the amplitude-phase distribution of complex currents exciting AA in the focusing mode to obtain a fixed level Es at point M; determining readings of calibrated attenuator Ns, dB and feed channel ratio Ks, dB, as well as their reference values Ne, dB and Ke, dB in a similar way and at the same value of fixed level Es at point M; with subsequent determination of amplification coefficient of AR by formula Gs, dB = Ne, dB - Ns, dB + Ke, dB - Ks, dB + Ge, dB, where Ge, dB is a reference gain value, characterized in that reference values of Ne, dB and Ke, dB, determined experimentally, and a reference gain Ge, dB, determined by design and (or) experiment, correspond to standard uniform amplitude-phase distribution of complex currents exciting AA.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of determination of amplification factor of focused AA.
