FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of removing aromatic hydrocarbons from poor acid gas containing less than 20 mol. % of H2S. Method includes contacting a stream of poor acid gas with selective H2S ratio solution of liquid absorbent in first absorption zone to produce gas stream depleted of H2S, and H2S-enriched absorbent solution. Further, absorbent solution is introduced into non-thermal steam stripping zone, where it is brought into contact with stream of stripping gas to obtain absorbent solution, which is depleted of C4+ aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and flow of stripping gas, enriched with aromatic and C4+ with aliphatic hydrocarbons. Further, the stream of stripping gas is brought to the selective with respect to H2S solution of liquid absorbent in second absorption zone to produce flow of stripping gas, depleted of H2S, and H2S-enriched absorbent solution. Conducting absorbent solution into desorption zone, in which is selective with respect to H2S solution of liquid absorbent and poor acid gas is formed.
EFFECT: invention enables to remove large amounts of aromatic hydrocarbons, such as BTX and C4+ aliphatic hydrocarbons from poor acidic gases containing less than 20 mol% of H2S.
