FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed is an absorbent for removal of acid gases from a liquid flow, which includes a water solution of a) at least one metal salt with aminocarboxylic acid and b) at least one acid promoter, with a molar ratio of a component b) to a component a) constituting from 0.0005 to 1. The acid promoter is selected from the group, including mineral acids, carboxylic acids, sulphonic acids, organic phosphonic acids and their incomplete ethers. In contrast to the known absorbents based on salts of amino acids regeneration of the said absorbent requires application of smaller energy without essential reduction of the absorption capacity of the solution (ability to absorb acid gases). In the realisation of the method of removal of acid gases from the liquid flow contact of the liquid flow with the said absorbent is realised.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce energy required for regeneration of the applied absorbent.
