FIELD: colloidal chemistry; physical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an absorbent for removing acid gases from fluid streams, in particular for the selective removal of hydrogen sulfide, as well as to a method for removing acid gases from a fluid stream, in particular, for the preferential selective removal of hydrogen sulfide in comparison with carbon dioxide. An absorbent for the selective removal of hydrogen sulfide in comparison with carbon dioxide from a fluid stream, containing an aqueous solution, which includes: a) a tertiary amine that is a methyldiethanolamine; b) an amine pH promoter selected from cyclohexyl-N, N-dimethylamine, 1,4-bis-(dimethylamino)cyclohexane and hydroxyethyl-bis - (dimethylaminopropyl)amine; the molar ratio b) to a) is in the range from 0.05 to 1.0; and c) an acid with a pKS acidity index of less than 6, used in such an amount that the pH of the aqueous solution measured at 120°С is from 7.9 to less than 8.8. Also proposed is a method for selectively removing hydrogen sulfide in comparison with carbon dioxide from a fluid stream, according to which the fluid stream is brought into contact with an absorbent according to one of the previous claims.
EFFECT: reducing the energy of regeneration of the absorbent to the lowest possible value, which is used in the method for separating hydrogen sulfide in comparison with carbon dioxide.
