FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of motor roads and can be used in construction of embankments of roads on a weak base, as well as in high-speed recovery of roads after river floods and floods. Method of light monolithic embankments includes: removal of vegetal layer, dumping and compaction of leveling layer, rolling of mesh made of polymer geosynthetic material, laying of the first layer of foam polystyrene blocks, at which the sole, side and end surfaces of the blocks are covered by hand with brushes with liquid glass, fixation of the layer in transverse direction with stilt. Surface of first layer of blocks with liquid glass with subsequent laying of blocks of second layer with coating of side and end surfaces of blocks with liquid glass, coating of surface of second layer with liquid glass. Laying, if necessary, subsequent layers of foamed polystyrene blocks in a similar manner, coating of upper layer surface with liquid glass and rolling out of polymer geosynthetic material mesh, further filling with mineral soil with thickness of not less than 0.3 m. Filling of dimensions of embankments in longitudinal and transverse profile to design sizes and device of road pavement, at that, the main requirement at the embankment device is mutually perpendicular arrangement of blocks in adjacent layers.
EFFECT: facilitating the implementation of light monolithic embankments of low height (from 1½ to 3 meters) with provision of sufficient strength; reduced time of construction and saving of materials.
