HOLLOW FIBER MODULE MANUFACTURING METHOD Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B01D63/02

Abstract RU 2706302 C1

FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of gas and liquid mixtures and more specifically to a method of producing a hollow fiber module. Method of producing a hollow fiber membrane module, comprising placing hollow mold with fibers in filling cup, sealing hollow fibers with a sealant, extraction of mold with sealed fibers from filling cup after hardening of sealant, cutting fibers together with protruding part of sealant and fixing hollow mold with fibers in module housing, wherein hollow form is bushing, and sealant is two epoxy compositions, outer surface of bushing, immersed in epoxide compositions, and inner surface of filling cup, which is in contact with epoxy compositions, is coated with separating layer, epoxide compositions are placed in a filling cup in layers, first, first epoxy composition is poured, into which free ends of hollow fibers are immersed, and maintained until hollow fibers first impregnation front is leveled with first epoxy composition, then pouring a second epoxy composition having a lower modulus of elasticity after curing than the first, with ratio of thickness of layers of epoxy compositions, equal to 1:2–20:1, after leveling the impregnation front of the second epoxy composition, the bushing is lowered along the fibers into the filling cup with immersion into the first and second epoxy compositions to a depth corresponding to the height of the sealing layer of the future hollow fiber module, held until complete curing of epoxy compositions and extraction of bushing with sealed fibers.

EFFECT: ensuring high packing density and uniform distribution of hollow membrane membranes with their reliable sealing.
