FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an adsorbent for drying moisture-containing gases. To obtain adsorbent product of centrifugal thermal activation of hydrargillite (CTA GG) in alkaline solution, dried, milled, peptized and plasticized in solution of nitric acid, obtained paste is formed by extrusion, dried and calcined in flow of dried air. Obtained adsorbent contains components in the following concentrations, wt%: Na – 0.1–3.0 %, K – 0.008–2.00 %, Al2O3 – balance. Hydration of ground CTA product is carried out with solutions of such alkalis as, NaOH at value of alkaline module Mal=0.05-0.06 (molNaOH/mol of aluminum oxide) or KOH with value of alkaline module Mal=0.05 (mol KOH/mol of aluminum oxide).
EFFECT: enabling increase in the adsorbent dynamic and static capacity relative to water vapor, as well as mechanical strength and stability in multiple sorption/desorption cycles.
