FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for the preparation of an alumina drier for moisture-containing gases, hydrocarbon, natural, and others. Method of preparation comprises the step of obtaining pseudo-boehmite-containing aluminum hydroxide by hydration of the active hydroxy-alumina in a weakly acid solution, drying and further milling. Pseudo-boehmite-containing aluminum hydroxide is peptized with solutions of basic hydroxides, the resulting plastic mass is molded as extrudates, dried and heat treated in a stream of dried air. Adsorbent-desiccant containing components in the following concentrations, mass. %: Na – 0.1–3.5 %, K – 0.01–3 %, Ba – 0.17–0.5 %, γ-+χ-Al2O3 – rest.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the stability of sorption characteristics of the adsorbent in the dynamic adsorption of water in multiple sorption/desorption cycles.
