FIELD: personal protection equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons and equipment, to development of protection means and can be used for production of armored helmets, armored jackets and armored barriers from ceramics and laminar polymer composite materials, for example, organoplastics. To make armored barrier (1) of polymer composites layers of inner (3) and outer (4) shells of aramid fabric impregnated with elastic polymer binder are formed. Hard-alloy inserts (5) are installed between layers from elementary ceramic cells (6), external, internal surfaces and side faces of which are fixed to appropriate covers with glue, which is chemically compatible with binder of shells. Each cell is made with thickness on side faces (9) equal to 1–1.5 of caliber of striking element, for example, bullets. At that, on ribs (14) of each cell adjoining inner shell rounding is made in the form of cylindrical fillet with radius equal to 0.05–0.1 of cell thickness. Angles (18) of intersection of said ribs are rounded in the form of a spherical fillet. Fillets are made with smooth transition to each other, to the faces and to the inner surface.

EFFECT: change of loading pattern of layers of internal shell and increase of armor protective properties due to absence of cutting of layers of inner shell by sharp solid angle from cross-over of cell under action of striking elements and related through breakdown of inner shell by fragments.
