FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and is intended for production of billets with improved mechanical characteristics due to formation of submicrocrystalline structure in pressed metal. Die comprises a bandage, a puncheon and a matrix from pressed into a bandage of half-molds. Matrix has at least three intersecting receiving, intermediate and outlet channels. Receiving and output channels have square cross-section. Intermediate channel is made screwed, has rectangular section and is formed by two inserts. Inserts are fixed by means of a threaded connection into a package placed in the seats of the half-matrix. Turn angle α intermediate helical channel on its length is selected from range of 90°≤α≤180°.

EFFECT: increased reliability of die.
