FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for pressing workpieces with formation of submicrocrystalline structure in metal. Die comprises male die, band and matrix pressed therein with intersecting receiving, intermediate and outlet channels. Channels feature geometrically identical cross-section. Intermediate channel is made broken and consists of seven sections conjugated at one and the same angle θ1 < 90° with formation of shear deformation at points of their intersection. First and last sections of intermediate channel are located with intersection, respectively, with receiving and output channels at angle of 90° < θ2 < 180°. Axes of sections of intermediate channel with even number are located perpendicular to axes of receiving and output channels.
EFFECT: higher intensity of accumulated shear deformation per billet pass.
