FIELD: exercise machines.
SUBSTANCE: biometric ellipsoid of Akhmetov combines dynamic properties and advantages of biokinetic trainer for back with swinging supports for limbs with properties of known elliptical trainers. In its design there are two kinematically connected mechanisms: a mechanism providing movement of platforms for legs along an elliptical trajectory, and a mechanism providing swinging movements of support arms.
EFFECT: kinematic connection provides movement of foot supports and supports for hands in opposite directions, which provides for a trainee a combination of two types of motion limbs – circular movements for legs and swinging movements for hands and forced coordination of movements of limbs and the whole locomotor system.
