FIELD: sports.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports equipment and can be used in sport, physical education, rehabilitation medicine. The proposed elliptical exercycle comprises a housing with supports, a seat mounted with an ability to adjust height and angle of inclination, steering wheel mounted with an ability to adjust the angle of inclination. Pedal loading mechanism includes an element of elliptical shape mounted in the housing, having a double tee profile of section, which inner elliptical surface forms the working path having a toothed profile. Pedal loading mechanism also comprises a housing in which the working gear is fixed on its axes, two clamping gears with screw load control being in the toothed gearing with it, tension rollers, and two connecting rods, mounted with one end on the axis of the working gear, and the other end is attached to the pedals with bindings for feet. Pedal loading mechanism is mounted in the exercycle housing with the ability to move along the toothed surface of the working path of the element of an elliptical shape, due to tension rollers equipped with elastic elements made in the form of springs, and the toothed gearing of the working gear with the surface of the working path.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of training, which is achieved by increasing the amplitude of muscle contraction and movement in the joints of the lower limbs during cyclic operation, as well as the variability of the type of load by changing the angles of inclination of steering wheel, the head tube, and the seat.
