FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration materials for fluids or fluids in gaseous state, to methods of making devices, in particular, water-repellent partition, for cleaning of hydrocarbon liquids, mainly motor fuels, from free water and can be used in all fields of equipment. According to the method, a solution of a fluoroplastic suspension and water taken at ratio of 1:3 is prepared; a metal mesh with mesh size of 80 mcm is immersed into the given solution, held for a given time, dried, and heat treatment is carried out in stages. At the first stage, the fluoroplastic-coated grid is held at temperature of 80±1 °C for 25–30 minutes, at second step at 170 °C and held at this temperature for 10–15 minutes, and at third step temperature is increased to 380 °C, at which the partition is held for 20 minutes, after which temperature is reduced to 60 °C and removable from furnace ready for operation water-repellent partition.
EFFECT: high efficiency of water-repellent properties of the partition wall (not more than 0,001 wt%), increase in its service life (not less than 2 years), low washing out of the fluoroplastic coating while maintaining throughput, all materials are made in the Russian Federation.
