FIELD: hygiene.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an oral care composition in the form of a mouth rinse and use of such a composition. Disclosed composition contains: at least one source of tin ions, polyvinylpyrrolidone and amino fluoride. At least one source of tin ions contains 0.02–0.08 wt. % tin fluoride, polyvinylpyrrolidone is present in amount of 2.20 to 3.00 wt. %, aminofluoride - in amount of 0.010–0.50 wt. % in terms of total weight of the oral care composition in the form of a mouth rinse. Also disclosed is use of said oral care composition in the form of mouth rinse (i) to reduce intensity or suppress demineralisation and provide teeth remineralisation, (ii) to reduce levels of bacteria producing acid, (iii) to reduce or inhibit microbial biofilm formation in the oral cavity, (iv) to reduce or inhibit the formation of plaque in the oral cavity, (v) to clean teeth and oral cavity in a subject in need thereof.

EFFECT: use of polyvinylpyrrolidone as part of an oral rinse product containing tin fluoride and aminofluoride in the above amounts provides reduced intensity of dental staining caused by tin ions without reducing oral properties, such as antibacterial activity.
