SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. Pneumatic tire (1) contains on the surface of its tread contact area (33), which contains many blocks (5). Each of blocks (5) contains in its contact patch a number of narrow shallow grooves (7) and a set of recesses (8) located at a distance from narrow shallow grooves (7). Narrow shallow grooves (7) have a groove width from 0.2 to 0.7 mm, and the depth of the grooves from 0.2 to 0.7 mm. Recesses (8) have the same depth as narrow shallow grooves (7).
EFFECT: technical result – improved braking performance when driving on ice.
