METHOD OF PROCESSING PAPER PRODUCT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC D21H25/04

Abstract RU 2706838 C2

FIELD: paper.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing an irradiated paper product involves processing a paper product containing a carbohydrate-containing material from about 0.25 to about 10 Mrad with ionizing radiation, having energy from approximately 0.25 MeV to approximately 7.5 MeV, without addition of additives for crosslinking, so that carbohydrate-containing material itself cross-linked, and the molecular weight of the carbohydrate-containing material is increased by providing an irradiated paper product. Pulp and paper products are obtained.

EFFECT: methods of producing cellulose or lignocellulose materials for use in production of paper include treatment of cellulose or lignocellulose dry material having a first average molecular weight, ionizing radiation and controlling dose of ionizing radiation so that average molecular weight of the material is reduced to a given level.
