SUBSTANCE: invention relates to active magnetic bearing and method of cooling active magnetic bearing. Active magnetic bearing (1) of shaft (4) rotating around axis has stationary installed, having magnetic conductivity main part (2), which covers shaft (4), located axially one after another separate parts (9), which form magnetic conductivity main part (2), located in slots with magnetic conductivity of main part (2) system of windings, axial distance (w) between adjacent separate parts (9). Spacers are arranged between axially spaced separate parts (9). At least one separate part (9) has axially extending cooling channels (5), which fall into gaps between axially located at a distance separate parts (9).

EFFECT: technical result is creation of active magnetic bearing, which provides sufficient efficient support in different temperature ranges.
