FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to magnetic bearings. The magnetic bearing includes a magnetic circuit, four pairs of magnetic poles, two pairs of permanent magnets, two pairs of current coils. The magnetic circuit is made with the possibility of covering the shaft. The magnetic poles are directed from the magnetic circuit to the location of the shaft. Permanent magnets are placed in two pairs of magnetic poles, separated from each other along the contour of the magnetic circuit by magnetic poles without permanent magnets. Two pairs of current coils are located near two pairs of magnetic poles, separated from each other along the contour of the magnetic circuit by magnetic poles without current coils. One pair of current coils, separated from each other along the contour of the magnetic circuit by current coils of another pair, is made with the possibility of passing unidirectional currents.
EFFECT: increase in the rigidity of the bearing is achieved.
