FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to connection of two curvilinear profiles of metal of Omega-profiles and U-profiles type with seam on edges. When butt-jointing two identical profiles, an additional connector is installed, which is made similar to connected profiles without folds on edges and having inner and outer surfaces. Note here that connector edges are arranged in profile grooves with depth of overlap at installation of connector in every connected profile of at least six widths of each of connected profiles. When Omega-profiles are connected, the inner surface of the connector adjoins the external surface of each of the connected profiles. At that width along internal surface is more than widths of connected profiles by value of two thicknesses of metal. When connecting the U-profiles, its outer surface of the connector adjoins the inner surface of each of the connected profiles. At that width along external surface is less than each of widths of connected profiles by value of two thicknesses of metal and, besides, in both cases.

EFFECT: higher quality of connection due to improved geometry of profiles during assembly.
