SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in making elements of heat exchange systems. In the proposed method of longitudinal finning of the heat exchanger working surface, the convection module consisting of convective elements made of sheet metal of arbitrary configuration, including U-, V-, W-shaped type, each of which has a vertex, a right and a left rib of arbitrary configuration and folded edges, made so that when conjugating elements with each other conjugate ribs to form a folded movable connection, on the working surface of the heat exchanger the convective elements are hooked into the tensioning element, using their elastic properties; at that, the last convective element is closed to the first one, forming the convective module.

EFFECT: simplified process of fixation of convective elements on working surface of heat exchanger.
