FIELD: bridge engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bridge construction, namely, to a deformation joint of a bridge. Bridge expansion joint comprises enclosing the ends of adjacent span structures with built-in recesses, pressure beams with their ends located in niches of adjacent span structures, rubber gaskets installed on upper surfaces of frames, sliding comb-shaped sheet located on rubber gaskets, covering gap between framing of ends of adjacent span structures, rigidly attached to borders comb rings, springs. To the sliding comb sheet by means of the ball hinged joint the rods are attached by the upper ball-shaped ends, passed through the holes in the pressure beams, the holes of the upper support plates, and are fixed with tension on the lower support plates, for example, by means of threaded connections. Structures of deformation seam increases its durability and reliability due to exclusion of additional stresses in its elements from horizontal and cross movements of sliding comb-like sheets and reduces probability of its jamming in grooves of comb-like sheets rigidly attached on borders of adjacent span structures in view of yielding of sliding sheets of expansion joint in longitudinal and transverse directions.
EFFECT: increasing durability and reliability of a bridge expansion joint.
