METHOD (EMBODIMENTS) AND DRY MATERIAL FRACTIONATING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B07B7/00

Abstract RU 2707110 C2

FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to methods and systems for grinding and fractionating dry food products and can be used to produce components of corn, starch and bran germs with consistent high quality. Method of dry material fractionation includes input of ground product into air flow, direction of air flow including crushed product into accelerator and separation of first fraction of crushed product from second fraction of crushed product in accelerator. Moistened product moisture content ranges from thirteen percent (13 %) to eighteen percent (18 %). Dry material fractionation system comprises an air blower to create an air flow having a speed of three hundred and five miles per hour (305 miles/hour) to four hundred miles per hour (400 miles/hour) to maintain a flow temperature higher than one hundred and twenty degrees Fahrenheit (120 °F), accelerator for receiving air flow containing ground product and separation of first fraction of ground product from second fraction of ground product. Air flow comprises crushed product, and air blower operates under pressure of at least three thousand pounds per square inch (3000 psi) to five thousand pounds per square inch (5000 psi). Accelerator is characterized by presence of inlet diameter and outlet diameter, wherein inlet diameter is greater than outlet diameter.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in fractionation efficiency.
