FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making articles from composite materials with fillers and can be used in production and manufacture of articles from composite materials by pressing. Compression molding is carried out in closed mold with continuous action of ultrasound oscillation energy on male die. Characteristics of ultrasonic action: frequency from 17 to 40 kHz, amplitude from 8 to 30 mcm. Additionally amplitude modulation is applied together with frequency within range of 50 to 500 Hz. After that, heating, maintenance and step-by-step cooling to the room temperature is performed with the product. When making samples by the method according to the invention, ultimate strength is increased by 6 % on average and modulus of elasticity by 13 %. Relative elongation is reduced by 12 %, and wear rate is reduced by 14 %.
EFFECT: technical result achieved when using the method under the invention consists in significant increase in the operating life and reliability of the friction assemblies.
