FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the foundry. Wax-like models are melted out of shell molds in a steel bath with hot water, wherein the blocks are immersed in water by sprue funnels upwards. Water is added with additives of sodium lauryl sulphate and hydrochloric acid in amount of 0.8–1.0 % in total from the weight of water until the pH reaches pH<5, and hexamethylenetetramine in amount of 2 g/l of water.
EFFECT: ensuring minimization of content of wax-like models in the working cavity of the shell mold after its melting operation, which reduces ash content after calcination, reduces labor intensity of the process and increases operating life of the melting bath.
