FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: use: to absorb electromagnetic radiation in high frequency range. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the composition for producing electromagnetic radiation absorbing material includes glass and silicon carbide, wherein glass comprises liquid glass with modulus of 2.6–3.3, silicon carbide containing a waste of semiconductor production, consisting of gallium arsenide and silicon carbide, with particle size of up to 10 mcm, and additionally contains expanded perlite and hardener in following ratio of components, wt%: liquid glass with module 2.6–3.3 65–74, waste of semiconductor production with particle size of up to 10 mcm 6–20, curing agent 8–11, expanded pearlite 7–9.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining material which absorbs electromagnetic radiation in extremely high frequency range (from 100 to 240 GHz).
