FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio-absorbing materials and structures of absorbers, and more particularly to systems for protection against high frequency microwave radiation, and can be used to solve problems of electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic systems and complexes, when creating anechoic chambers and multifunctional shielded rooms, as well as to reduce the harmful effects of high-frequency radiation on the human body. Absorber consists of dielectric and magnetic materials on a metal substrate. Dielectric material is a flat radio absorbing foam glass with a thickness of 7 mm, obtained with 1 % wt. of carbon soot in the foaming mixture, magnetic layer is a 1.5 mm thick composite containing 60 % wt. of high-frequency radio-absorbing hexaferrite BaFe12O19, bound by a polymer binder.
EFFECT: technical result is a simpler design of an absorber of electromagnetic waves of a gigahertz range having a smaller mass and thickness, operating at higher frequencies, up to 260 GHz, in a wider range (20–260 GHz).
