FIELD: artillery.
SUBSTANCE: long-range guns with separate loading. A long-range gun contains a barrel with a breech, a charging chamber located next to the barrel, and a bolt. The chamber has a hole for the passage of powder gases into the gun barrel. A longitudinally sliding common bolt for the barrel and chamber serves as a support for the projectile and charge while simultaneously feeding the projectile into the gun barrel and the charge into the chamber using a separate charge or due to the energy of the exhausted powder gases, or due to the energy of the recoil parts, or mechanically using calculation. The breech and bolt are made of laminated metal or armour.
EFFECT: increase in range and accuracy, simplified automation of loading long-range guns, and an increase in rate of fire and mobility are achieved.
