SUBSTANCE: modular propellant charge module of caseless loading is composed of a powder charge, a rigid combustible cap including a cylindrical body with a cover and a central tube, an end igniter of smoky gun powder fixed to the bottom of the body or cover, an axial igniter of smoky gun powder fixed to the inner surface of a central tube. In the first embodiment, the sensing element of the microwave initiation system, the initiator, is located between the inner surface of the central tube and the axial igniter. In the second one - the sensing element of the microwave initiation system is located between the end igniter and the surface of the rigid combustion cap with a radial orientation. The initiator is made in the form of a conductive filament with a length equal to half the wavelength of the microwave radiation, oriented parallel to the axis of the module symmetry and ensuring ignition of the axial igniter, when the module charged to the artillery gun chamber is irradiated with electromagnetic radiation of the microwave range with the formation of a standing wave in the chamber by using the initiator of the axial component of the electromagnetic field strength lines.

EFFECT: invention allows to ensure the ignition of the modular propellant charges under the influence of electromagnetic microwave radiation and standard ignition means, to increase the reliability of ignition of the propellant charge, to improve the operating conditions by reducing the non-simultaneous ignition of its various regions, and to ensure the multi-time nature of the initiation system.
