SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Method of making a progressive ophthalmic lens for a user having a leading eye and a driven eye involves: designing a progressive ophthalmic lens by a projection method; making a progressive ophthalmic lens according to the result of designing a progressive ophthalmic lens. Method of designing a progressive ophthalmic lens comprises the steps of: determining a first inset for a driving eye lens; determining a user's fie indicator; determining a second inset for the driven eye lens depending on the first inset and the index of the background and designing the lens for the driven eye in accordance with the second insertion. Method of designing a progressive ophthalmic lens is carried out using a computer system which comprises a storage device and a processor, wherein memory stores program instructions executable by processor, and instructions contain functional means for performing said method of designing progressive ophthalmic lens.
EFFECT: using the given group of inventions enables minimizing the need for fusional reserves when observing eye fixation to reduce the risk of poor adaptation to the lenses.
