METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EVALUATING EFFECTIVENESS OF OPHTHALMOLOGICAL LENS FOR CONTROL OF VISION IMPAIRMENTS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01M11/02 G02C7/02

Abstract RU 2810918 C2

FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: method for assessing the effectiveness of an ophthalmic lens for controlling visual impairment in an ophthalmic lens user includes obtaining data representing the optical characteristics of the ophthalmic lens, the characteristics of the wearer, and the behaviour of the wearer; and determining, based on the predetermined relationship model, the effectiveness of the ophthalmic lens. The specified relationship model compares the data representing the optical performance of an ophthalmic lens, user characteristics, and user behaviour with the data from a lens performance/efficiency database. The predetermined relationship model includes correlating or linking, using a mathematical function, a criterion, which is an optical index calculated based on the user characteristics and the user behaviour, and an efficiency factor, which is the specified efficiency, for each lens in the database.

EFFECT: ability to evaluate effectiveness of the lens in accordance with visual, behavioural and biometric parameters.
