FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to control step motors. Method for stabilization of current level in winding of two-phase bipolar step motor (SM) provides continuous control of current level at any moment of its flow in winding due to determination of excess of current level of specified upper threshold in lower arm of that power half-bridge, in which current flows in forward direction. In order to implement method of current level stabilization in winding of two-phase SM, its driver includes additional measuring resistor and additional comparator. Lower point of the right power half-bridge is connected through an additional measuring resistor to the negative output of the power supply of the step motor and to the second input of the additional comparator, the first input of which is connected to the output of the digital-to-analogue converter. Second input of the current stabilization signal generating unit is connected to the first output of the control signal generating unit, the third output of which is connected to the fourth input of the current stabilization signal generating unit, the third input of which is connected to the output of the additional comparator. Current stabilization signal generating unit contains logic element 2OR and two logic elements 2AND, the outputs of which are connected to the inputs of logic element 2OR, whose output is the output of the current stabilization signal generating unit, the four inputs of which are connected to inputs of logic elements 2AND, respectively.
EFFECT: high accuracy of stabilizing current level and low power consumption and high reliability of driver due to reduced number of switches of power bridge switches.
