FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry, specifically to lubricant-cooled process media (LCPM) based on mineral oil with additives for use in mechanical processing of metals in machine building and is most effective in processing stainless steels and titanium alloys. Lubricating-cooling process agent for metal cutting, containing mineral oil, according to the invention, additionally contains palm oil, low-molecular weight polyethylene glycol 200, triethanolamine at the following ratio of components, wt %: palm oil – 50–60, low-molecular weight polyethylene glycol – 200 14–20, triethanolamine – 10–12, mineral oil – up to 100.
EFFECT: technical result of present invention is to increase resistance of drills when drilling hard-to-machine materials (stainless steels, titanium alloys), possibility of drilling large-diameter holes in said alloys, low surface roughness, increased labor productivity due to improved lubricating and anti-wear properties of LCPM, leading to higher efficiency of its use, possibility of implementation of technology of preparation on operating equipment for production of LCPM and available raw materials.
