FIELD: printing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid level sensors, for example, in a printing system, in an ink cartridge. Liquid level sensor contains a holder, a liquid level readout interface located on the holder, wherein the interface length is 50 times greater than its width. Sensor also has a number of liquid level reading components arranged on the interface for detecting the liquid level in the container and an electrical interconnection for outputting data. Interface comprises a strip, a sequence of heaters and a series of sensors, wherein heaters and sensors are arranged in pairs in a matrix of packets on a strip vertically spaced along the length of the strip, and each of the packets in the matrix of the packs comprises a corresponding heater and a corresponding sensor, which are located one above the other in the respective different layers over the same surface of the strip.

EFFECT: providing a large-scale and simple manufacturing process, creating a secure small interface, providing a high-performance platform for reading liquid level with high resolution, maintaining several processes of recording liquid levels.
