FIELD: metallurgy; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nanostructured powder of a cadmium-nickel system which is a magnetically soft material. Each particle of nanostructured powder contains metals in ratio, mol%: cadmium x, where x=2÷8, nickel 100-x. Powder particles are flat nanocrystallites with size of 15 to 30 nm, thickness on crystallographic directions [111] and [100] 15 and 10 nm, respectively, which form compactly folded aggregates with layer size of 40–60 nm, which form loose agglomerates of different shape with dimensions from 100 to 250 nm.
EFFECT: magnetic nanostructured powder has high purity, at which total foreign impurities content is not more than 0,2 mol% of powder weight.
