FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing nanostructured magnetic aluminosilicate composites for sorption of cesium and strontium radionuclides from aqueous media. Disclosed is a method of producing a magnetic composite sorbent, involving synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles by co-precipitation of iron (II) chlorides in an aqueous solution and their subsequent treatment, differs in that to obtain magnetite nanoparticles with constant stirring and maintaining the temperature of solution of 75–85 °C in 120 ml of a mixture containing water and ethylene glycol in equal volume ratio, powders of 12 mmol FeCl3⋅6H2O and 8.3 mmol Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2⋅6H2O and 35 ml of 24% aqueous ammonia solution, after 20 minutes add 17.2 ml of 2 M aqueous solution Na2SiO3⋅5H2O and 52.8 ml of 0.325 M aqueous solution NaAlO2 and held for 30 minutes, then the obtained solution with magnetite nanoparticles is placed in an autoclave and held at temperature of 90–180 °C and pressure 70.12–1001.9 kPa for 6 hours, obtained precipitate of aluminosilicate is separated, washed with distilled water, followed by drying.
EFFECT: providing ratio SiO2/Al2O3 within 1.4–1.9; ensuring ratio of magnetite and aluminosilicate within 1:3; providing high sorption characteristics and enlarging the field of application owing to the possibility of cleaning liquid media from cesium and strontium radionuclides.
