FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a material for an absorbent product. Described is a method of producing material for an absorbent product, comprising a step of: applying an antimicrobial agent solution on the absorbent article, wherein the antimicrobial agent solution is formed by dissolving the organic hydrophobic antimicrobial agent in a hydrophilic non-volatile organic solvent; wherein hydrophilic organic solvent has steam pressure at 25 °C of not more than 30 Pa, molecular weight less than 100 and solubility of organic hydrophobic antimicrobial agent of not less than 5 wt. %, and concentration of the organic hydrophobic antimicrobial agent in the antimicrobial agent solution ranges from 10 wt. % to 35 wt. %, the method further comprising the steps of: mixing the antimicrobial agent solution with a water-absorbent resin and cross-linking the surface of the water-absorbent resin to a step of mixing the antimicrobial agent solution with the water-absorbent resin, and wherein the solvent remains after the antimicrobial agent solution is mixed with the water-absorbent resin.
EFFECT: technical result is intensification of antimicrobial properties of material.
