FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing elastomer particles from an aqueous suspension containing a plurality of elastomer particles having particle size of 0.05–25 mm suspended therein. Organic medium contains at least one elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin and an organic diluent. Organic medium is in contact with an aqueous medium containing at least one compound with a Lower Critical Dissolution Temperature (LCDT) having a turbidity point of 0–100 °C, selected from methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose. Then, an organic diluent is at least partially removed to obtain an aqueous suspension containing particles of an elastomeric ethylene copolymer and α-olefin. Thereafter, the particles of the elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin contained in an aqueous suspension, obtaining particles of an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, drying the isolated elastomer particles and molding the elastomer particles in the new mold or molded articles.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining particles of an elastomeric copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin in an aqueous medium having a reduced or low agglomeration tendency.
