SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing an aqueous suspension containing a plurality of halogenated elastomer particles suspended therein, as well as to halogenated elastomer products or products made therefrom. Method includes step (A) of contacting an organic medium with a plurality of particles of at least one halogenated elastomer and an organic diluent with an aqueous medium, which includes at least one compound with a Lower Critical Dissolution Temperature (LCDT), having a deposition threshold of 0 to 100 °C, and a step (B) for removing at least partially an organic diluent to obtain an aqueous suspension comprising halogenated elastomer particles. LCDT compound is a compound selected from a group comprising methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, which is soluble in a liquid medium at a lower temperature, but is deposited from a liquid medium at a temperature above the LCDT, also referred to as a deposition threshold.
EFFECT: method according to the invention enables to reduce, slow down or prevent agglomeration of particles of halogenated rubber in an aqueous medium.
